I know how you feel! I cant stand bits on the floor! :mad:Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Gosh, you people are so clean! I wash-up once a day and try and change the bed/hoover/clean the bathroom once a week. That's my only routine though. It's just that I get home at 7pm during the week and I also have to work every other Saturday. By the Sunday I am so tired I couldn't possibly contemplate doing any housework. And I can't figure out how people manage to have a social life and do housework! If I have just spent 6 days at work I want to go out somewhere nice, not stay in. I do occasionally take a couple of days off work and blitz the house. If I had the money I'd definitely have a cleaner and pay someone to do the ironing!0

YES FASCINATING!!!!! :rotfl:Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

I used to do far more housework before I discovered this site!!! Now I seem to spend most of the day on here even though every morning I vow I won't!
Basically as long as my kitchen and bathroom are clean I don't worry too much about the rest. I used to dust and hoover every day but my house gets so dusty I feel I am fighting a losing battle. I spend some of Mondays ironing and changing the bed but other than that have no real routine. The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -

I am a bit hit and miss to you could try https://www.flylady.com she has interesting things to say and she does not cost anything. She teaches baby steps to cleaning in 15 or 5 minute chunks.
I am not out at work and I still cannot get all that I want done. We have too much stuff!!!!!! :snow_laug
My God, I started to read this thread and became totally depressed at you superwomen who hoover and dust and polish every hour on the hour. I clean my house once a year if I'm lucky and the first job is usually to remove the cobwebs and hoover the crumbs until I can see the carpet. Reading your posts was resulting in my feeling vast amounts of guilt! AND THEN.....
I clicked on the https://www.flylady.com link and read the Home Page and I got really interested. So I've signed up to become a Member and hope to get started by very small steps. Thankyou SOOO much for your post, Jellycat, I think I've started to crack it AT LAST!!!
MUST dash, I'm off to polish my sink (Baby Step No. 1)
