    Our local cats protection league run 'promotions' whereby you can get a voucher from then to get your cat neutered. You pay a nominal fee, I think it was around £15 when we got one of ours done, you can use a choice of vets.

    It may be worth seeing if something like this is available in your area?

    cheers, do you need to be claiming any sort of benefits etc to get the vouchers as it says something along these lines

    well for neutering it says the below on their site

    We recommend that all cats, not required for breeding, should be neutered. This can be done from four months of age.

    If you can't afford to get your cat neutered, because you are on means-tested benefits, then we may be able to contribute towards the cost.

    to me it seems as if they only help if your claiming in some capacity
