No disrespect to Mansfield (I have family there) but it would have to be a very large bungalow to be valued that highly I think! More like a Roman villa!

Perhaps the EA was being a bit "optimistic".

Ravenshead a few mile outside of mansfield.....a very nice place TBH but full of old farts....would you live in the same place for over 50 years if it wasn't nice?? and i can assure you he is the rich uncle in my family.....(or should i say the only rich person in my family :D ) so could have easily have moved.

Its just one of those few places left in the country where all the neighbours know each other (most of his neighbours have also lived there pretty much the whole of their lives to)

The funny thing is as far back as i can remember he has never changed the decor in the kitchen or the carpet in the lounge....awesome colours :D
If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly

I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right

Brilliant post ISTL. You've encapsulated exactly what I was trying to tell someone else on a different thread that I'm going to quote you on it. Hope that's OK.

I agree that it is a perfectly okay area, but it is not the most prosperous after the end of coal mining, and I was surprised a bungalow would be worth that much.
