Cancelling Mobile Contracts?

Options
Is there any way of cancelling a mobile contract? Any kind of loop hole or anything? Have 2 and cant really afford the other one now, so Im wondering if there is any way of cancelling one of them at all? Any advice on what to do would be great !! Thank you !

** Also is it true that if you take a new contract out, you can cancel it within the first 14 days of taking it out? **

You may be able to change the contract tariff to a lower monthly payment, so long as you did not buy it on the understanding that you would remain on the current tariff for the minimum period.

You might consider selling the second handset in order to raise some money to offset against the line rental costs.

You may be able to upgrade and then cancel within the 'cooling off' period, which for distance selling is seven working days. However, doing this might then render you liable to the remainder of the previous contract which you are seeking to avoid.

If you made a 'contract', then you should expect to keep to it, in the same way that you expect the service provider to!

Yes, this is your true. You have a 14 day cooling-off period as long as you act quick. look out for all the T&C's as they tend to say "You will receive a full refund provided the equipment is returned within 14 days of delivery in accordance with the returns procedure below. Please note that the handset must be unused, undamaged and in its original packaging. You must also return all the relevant parts and accessories provided."

Different networks and suppliers have different T&C's. Check out this site: http://lowermybills.fonetasticmobile.co.uk/2/infopage.php?page=returns
