My N95 side volume adjust button has come away from the circuit board (a common fault I beleive). I still possess the button is question.
My phone was bought direct from Vodafone as an annual handset upgrade, 5 months ago. What are my options for repair? Am I still covered by the manufacturers warranty?
I've heard good things about Carphone Warehouses' repair centre. Any idea on charges for this simple repair?

Nokia service centre (Carphone Warehouse) should replace it for free as it comes with 1 year manufacture warranty.0 -
unless they consider it's not wear and tear but damaged some other wayEx forum ambassador

Try the warrenty route first but try and take it in person rather than send it off as the will charge you to return the phone if they decide it is user damage. also expect a 4 to 10 day turn around.
as an out of warrenty repair dont pay any more than 15 quid postal, 10 pounds as a walk in, and expext a 24 hr turn around.
NB, N95 8gig has 2 year manufactures warrenty«◊» PRO UNLOCKER «◊»0 -
Ok, just a quick update for other peoples reference.
I walked into CPW repair centre today and they said they can fix my N95 under warranty, but needed a receipt of purchase from Vodafone.
So I walked into the local Vodafone store and was served by a helpful young lady. She explained that as I was deemed a 'valued' customer that Vodafone will do a straight swop for my broken N95 for FREE!!!
So on Tuesday a they are delivering a brand new N95 8Gb as a replacement. All I need to do is keep hold of the original battery and back cover for the phone to insert into the new one.
Good bit of customer service there from Vodafone. Any idea if the courier will take the broken one of my hands? Possible Ebay item!0 -
A final conclusion to this story. A replacement haanset was delivered yesterday by a courier. He swapped the broken N95 for a refubished model. This has undergone tests with vodafone and comes with a warranty. The screen and case are in immaculate condition. So basically I have a brand new N95, barring the battery and back cover that I had to keep from my old one.
I have now put this on eBay to try make a few quid! (obviously stating its a refurb)
Good service from Vodafone!0
