Ordered last wednesday, arrived today - box they're cased in was ripped but after a quick phone call was told replacement box is now in the post. Definately worth the money - my 9 year old son has read a couple at school recently & finds them a great quick read (the 1st Harry Potter book was a weekend read for him), so these will be a great christmas present, & I'll enjoy curling up in a corner on the cold nights after christmas to read some of the ones I havent read beforeYou cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0

The box mine were in was ripped too. I phoned them about it and the woman on the phone mentioned something about replacement slip cases. I then got an e-mail saying 15 'slip cases' were being posted out ... I have no idea what they are likely to be but if they're rubbish I'll call back and ask again for a replacement box!

I wrote a list of all the people I need to buy christmas presents for, and found cheap books for them all
I also ordered the jamie oliver book for my children to give to me for christmas.
At £2.99 the 101 things you wish you'd invented book, for ages 9-14 is great.
I bought enough to get the snowman wrap set and it's fab! There are ten sheets of paper, large ones. um, like 4 sheets of A4Only 8 tags, and a medium gift bag. half the size of A4. erm, would that be A5?
I've done all of my christmas shopping now :T52% tight0 -
i chose single item delivery which added £1.75 to my order instead of the £3.50 quoted by OP.
wish i'd used the free delivery voucher that someone has posted is available. was in a hurry at work as i wanted to go for lunch so couldn't be bothered googling for free delivery.
speaking of lunch...i'm off.
ps. what does single item delivery mean?Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
Astonishing value when I received them yesterday, they are all hardbacks.0

Really? I thought mine were paperback ... will need to check them again!
My friend bought the Roald Dahl set at the same time as I did and her box was ripped too. She recieved TWO (free) replacement boxes today! I'm hopeful mine will be here tomorrow. Excellent customer service!

Mine arrived today, also damaged. The outer cardboard box was huge and had a huge hole in it. The box set itself was dented badly at one corner and the spine on one of the books was damaged.
It's such a shame the delivery services dont take more care.
Btw...mine are paperback.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Has anyone seen any good offers on these books recently? The Book People seem to have sold out.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0

I got these some time ago in a circular tin. They are a brilliant set of audio books, and if you can get them for £16.99 then you have a great little bargain. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0
