If only I had a child to buy them for! I loved those books when I was a nipper."a workman, even of the lowest and poorest order, if he is frugal and industrious, may enjoy a greater share of the necessaries and conveniences of life than it is possible for any savage to acquire."0

No excuse at all, I bought this set from the Book People a while ago and had a great time rediscovering Matilda, The Witches etc. It's well worth it. You're only as old as [strike]the person you feel[/strike] the books you read
Go on, treat yourself!0 -

lol really, you shouldn't encourage me. I'm terrible for picking up a book, reading it for a few days then after having a day or two where I haven't had the time to sit down, I forget about it! My flat is filled with half-read books!"a workman, even of the lowest and poorest order, if he is frugal and industrious, may enjoy a greater share of the necessaries and conveniences of life than it is possible for any savage to acquire."0 -
Ha, yes I know how you feel I like reading them to the kids and doing the voices (am I mad?) Ive only just discovered the Twits cant believe I never read it before! Ive also ordered the Charlie & Lola set for £9.99 what a bargain!!:heart2::heart2::heart2: I LOVE MY BEAGLE! :heart2::heart2::heart2:0

I ordered this very set last night for my 7 year old daughter!
She had put 'Roald Dahl collection' on her Christmas list so I was very pleased with the bargain
.
I'm glad I'm not alone in reading children's novels, lol. If I've run out of reading material I often grab a novel from my boys (13 & 11) room!

You can get cashback from topcashback too! I don't know what other cashback sites offer but worth doing if you're ordering online, and if you've got a cashback credit card that's even more money off!!0

Thanks, so it would make more sense to purchase them on the other site!! Sorry I thought the other site was a book club too.0

I have a real gripe with the bookpeople. maybe someone can shed some light on what its all about?
I saw a link on HUKD for an offer for in the night garden with an rrp of £74.99 for sale at £9.99, i promptly ordered it
It arrived few days later on the back of the item it states RRP £39.99
What i wanted to know is can they do this? I have a letter ready to post asking for an explanation- anyone know?0 -
They have loads of great offers at the moment - they've been holding a direct sale at a hospital near me - for example:
- Mr Men Sparkly Book Set - 15 books for £13 - RRP£74.99
- Gordon Ramsay - Cooking for Friends - £7 - RRP£25
- Nigella Christmas - £10 - RRP £25 - £12.50 on Amazon
- Jamie Oliver - Ministry of Food - £10 - RRP£25 - £12.50 on Amazon
and lots more, especially children's books. I think it's free delivery over £25 if you order online but they are holding a lot of direct sales which are really good value and some offers seem a little cheaper than online.0
