Seriously? You bought a book at a bargain price and you want to claim that it wasn't as much of a bargain as you thought. I'm guessing it was a simple mistake. Send the letter and see what they say.Butlers1982 wrote: »I have a real gripe with the bookpeople. maybe someone can shed some light on what its all about?
I saw a link on HUKD for an offer for in the night garden with an rrp of £74.99 for sale at £9.99, i promptly ordered it
It arrived few days later on the back of the item it states RRP £39.99
What i wanted to know is can they do this? I have a letter ready to post asking for an explanation- anyone know?

Thank you so much for this, my nephew, hopefully, is going to love this and got cashback via quidco as well! Bring on Christmas!0

Butlers, I don't think you can really complain when you got a book set for a quarter of the retail price.0
-
Butlers - perhaps they added together the full retail price of each book to get the £75 figure, even though the set costs £40 - I still think £10 is a bargain though, I've seen that set in their catalogue.
I'm impressed with the Walker book set £9.99, 6 books with DVD. They cost £7.99 each but are on BOGOF in mothercare. The book people offer is fab, especially at christmas because I can give the ones my son already has to his cousins as christmas presents. Bear hunt and owl babies are fabulous books for 2 or 3 year olds :T52% tight0 -
Thanks, just got enough for the kids to qualify for free delivery as well. (Over £25).0

Don't forget to try to find a free delivery code before you pay for delivery. I don't think I can post codes on this board but the most recent code can be found on the discount codes board. The last few posts in this thread may be particularly useful

I'm not sure if the most recent code still works (I haven't tried it myself) but it's worth a go.0 -

I think the Roald Dahl sets are an excellent buy. My dd loves R. Dahl and is doing a study on him in school. I also purchased a set of 4 xmas Rainbow Magic books from Bookpeople too for £6.99...another of my dd's favourites!:)Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0

I think the book people are great. I've just bought a load from there for Christmas including a £30 bird book for my Dad that cost £6.99, a set of 10 paper backsfor my mother in law for £10, the latest Mock the Week book for £4.99 and a set of Roald Dahl stories on CD RRP £120 reduced to £18 or £19. And as I spent over £40 I got a set of free snowman wrapping paper and gift tags which contains plenty to wrap all the prezzies! Nobody need know how little I spent.0
