    hi,
i'm not an expert, but hope u'll get good advice from other mse-s, we've got 2 computers at home and wireless broadband (were with bt for many years until had a big problem, then switched to tiscali which complete c..... sorry!) and i have internet on both of my computers. what i know you need to get adsl router, we've got ours of PC world but you can get it on ebay as many people sell unused ones there. We were send one by Bt and they wanted to charge us around £90 for it as we had one we called their's customer service and were told to keep it for free.

The traditional way is to get a central box (router) and connect all your devices (PC, notebook, ADSL broadband modem) to it (either wired or wireless). You can get routers with the ADSL modem built in (which saves you a box). The router acts like a telephone exchange between all your bits of equipment. Wired connections to the router are faster, more reliable and more secure but you have to run cable around which isn't always possible. Wireless connections don't need the wire but are slower, suffer from interference, and can be insecure (eg. other computers can connect to your network without your knowledge).

The cheap way to do it if you already have broadband on a desktop PC running Windows XP (or 2000) is to use Windows ICS (internet connection service). This turns your desktop PC into the central box so all you have to do is network your desktop PC and notebook together (wired or wireless). In this situation, the desktop PC acts as the router. The downside is that you need to have your desktop PC switched on in order for your notebook to use the internet.

Lots of info on the web just google for windows ics.
