i backtracked and got there eventually.

good spotting gatra. you've got some courage too. our lass would spend so much having the place decorated before a film crew was allowed in, I'd be in more debt that i am now ;)

    I was!!!!!

The front had a full make over, the back was all smartened up and the fence painted all jobs that had been waiting around for the last year or so.

Plus we could see the lounge carpet for the first time for weeks as we had put all the toys away only joking it's not that bad, but you get the idea with three kids and six little hands getting stuff out faster than we can put away.

Not that the poor carpet was any better after the film crew had walked through from the garden 5000 times hehehehehe. but it was fun to do, even if it did take poor Martin about an hour in the Jacuzzi to get that 2 min shot. He was like a prune when he came out. hehehehe.

two big jobs sorted for the price of umm two then?;)

as i said, wimmin  but at least you got it done. and a money makeover at the same time. i'd ask how much the house makeover cost, but i'm not that nosy i've an idea though, knowing what 'wimmin' are like  :)

when i see film crews going into houses i often wonder if anyone asks them to take their shoes off - not that i would, but i've seen some of them literally traipsing in all over the shop. when chegwin used to give money away to unsuspecting ppl springs to mind.

and Martin spent an hour in the jacuzzi? i hope you charged him for the electricity? :D

    I've been Money Tipped!
Felt a bit sorry for the chap when Martin told him to stop the call about changing over the mortgage etc and then told him about the money sitting in the bank account, cruel to be kind I know. It was mindboggling though that they had all that cash sitting in a bank account with terrible interest rates. When Martin discovered it I thought he was going to....

Also, when you did the scene where you were cutting up the cakes etc to show them how to protect their savings from the Taxman, I was just waiting for the clingfilm to stick together, just one take was it...;)

SM.... both the cake and the cling film were pre-cut to speed it up - i've done it before and learnt, so yes in fact it was one take :p

  • Oh dear! In my defence, it was a bit of fun. There are only so many occasions you can see someone go into a bathroom without poking a little fun! And how MANY noises can one man's mouth make? :xmassign:
  • Hi not sure if I am posting this correctly, but just wanted to say how much I love watching MMR and logging on to this money saving site. Have been browsing for a few weeks now and just joined yesterday. I always thought I knew a lot about finances, but realised it was only figures I knew about, not actual savings. In the last few weeks I have cut my outgoings by about £60 per month. Using 1899, cutting Sky, ringing NTL and getting my broadband cut from £17.99 a month to £9.99 a month, getting a requote on my Mortgage Life Assurance. The list goes on.

Thank you Martin and keep up the good work.

    Happy Christmas to All.
