Scanadalous, i think it's called. No competition.
The Assembly should nationalise electricity again until there's some proper competition.
And I'm not just winding. It's too important to be left to a private company whose only concern is creaming their customers.
  • I am moving into a new property that has a key pad meter. Is this cheaper to use than the normal meter? Shall I change the meter when i move in?

I think you get a discount if you pay by direct debit..... I tried to get one of these in and they told me that I would have to drill a hole through the gable wall........Im not very good with power tools:) so I declined and paid by DD

I too went from a bill to the key pad. While it is more expensive I prefer the pay and go aspect of it.

  • Hi all!

I am new on this site.I have recently moved in to a new flat where we have pay as you go meter. My question might sound stupid. We have 2 meters. One of them is a power card meter and the other one is a simple pay as you go meter for electricity.I dont really know what the power card meter is for.apparently we dont have gas in the flat, everything works with electricity. Is is possible that we have 2 meters for electricity or the power card meter is for gas.I am getting really annoyed 'cause i keep topping it up i just dont know why. Can anyone help me?
    thnx

There's usually a Pay as you go meter in the meter box and an additional code entry keypad which will have a lead back to the meter box, allows you to input the codes without hoking about in the meter box. Is this what the second unit is?
