    Once you start applying for any form of Credit, your old Creditors will be able to locate you via Tracing Agents etc.

    I work as a Business Credit Controller (I hear the booos!) and we are advised to wait between 1 - 3 years before we run on a trace on a person as this is the average time for the absconder to re-locate and start re-applying for credit.

    Once they have located you this address can be linked to your Credit File. I would advise you contact M&S directly and try and sort out a repayment plan.
