Another NSD for me today, and i've eaten at Mum's, so a very MSE day all round :T :T

  • Never made my no NSD yesterday as veneer of tooth came off when eating a piece of bread and so had to go to Boots and buy emergency fixant at £6.99:mad: . Also whilst out called into TK Maxx and spent another £55 (doh!). So still on 3/10, but hoping today with be my 4th NSD.:D
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:
  • Yesterday was a spend day for me! Took my nephew and his friend to the skypark at Xscape - then since I'd booked it for a silly time (5pm) - they kinda needed fed - so we went for dinner as well!

Hopefully today'll be better though - I've no planned spends, and deliberately don't have any money in my purse - so fingers crossed today'll be number 5!

Dragon - sorry to hear you're still feeling ill - it must've been a bad one to have lasted this long! Although I'm sure the money you've saved is at least a small silver lining! Hope you feel better soon

Can I have a little rant my lovelies? I am S-0-0-0-0-0-0 grumpy today! :o

I just bought my daughter some new bedding on eBay and asked the seller to combine the items. They were £5 and £2 to send separately but the combined invoice says £10.

I've emailed again to ask if that's correct as traditionally combined postage is cheaper than the separate totals and you can send about 3 bags of sugar for £9.30 by Royal Mail Standard Parcels and up to 20lbs with most couriers for about £5.99 so I'm not sure how a single duvet cover, a sheet and a pillowcase needs to cost more than that - but I'm seriously considering telling her to stick it if she comes back and says £10 is correct.

And the placemats I bought for £25, marketed as being from John Lewis have a £1.50 Wilkinsons price sticker on them!
And I'm really fed up of not having a working loo...!

The plumber is up there fitting it as we speak so hopefully it won't be much longer. You don't realise how you take things for granted until they're gone.

I even used my MIL's loo yesterday out of desperation even though you get nearly gassed from the fumes of all the cleaning products and she bangs on the door to ask if you've fallen in if you're in there longer than she deems necessary! :o

So it's a spend day today then. £300 to the plumber and whatever this sodding bedding ends up costing me!

Hope you're all having a better day than me (and my plumber who is swearing his head off as we speak! ;) )

    Love Jacks xxx :D
