Sounds like you had a bit of a hard time earlier... hope they're helping you all out now...I may make that banana bread, sounds lovely, I love recipes that mean you bung everything in together, mix and bake.
Here you go Triker, a 'chuck together' boiled cake for you (like fruit cake but really soft and moist) - sorry, but I got this recipe years ago and still measure it in lb's & oz's... (I'm old see...;) ) For cups, I use a mug from Ikea and it works fine - don't think you can mess this up even if you use a tea cup so just use whatever you lay your hands on...
1/4 lb butter or marg
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups sultanas or mixed fruit or whatever else you like
1 cup milk
Put all above into a pan until the butter is melted and the sugar has dissolved. allow to cool for a while, then add:
2 cups SR Flour
1 egg
Mix together and put into a cake tin, bake in the oven for one hour on gas 3 then for 1/2 hour - 1 hour on gas 4 until cooked throughout...

Blimey its so cold tonight. Im sitting here wrapped up like a xmas pudding.
Went to see mum today and she was in fine humour.
Have tidied the living room since I got in and done a HHI.
