I may make that banana bread, sounds lovely, I love recipes that mean you bung everything in together, mix and bake.

Here you go Triker, a 'chuck together' boiled cake for you (like fruit cake but really soft and moist) - sorry, but I got this recipe years ago and still measure it in lb's & oz's... (I'm old see...;) ) For cups, I use a mug from Ikea and it works fine - don't think you can mess this up even if you use a tea cup so just use whatever you lay your hands on... :D

    1/4 lb butter or marg
    1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups sultanas or mixed fruit or whatever else you like
    1 cup milk

Put all above into a pan until the butter is melted and the sugar has dissolved. allow to cool for a while, then add:

    2 cups SR Flour
    1 egg

Mix together and put into a cake tin, bake in the oven for one hour on gas 3 then for 1/2 hour - 1 hour on gas 4 until cooked throughout...

I often double up on the mix so it takes longer to cook, but as long as you cook it slow and check the middle of the cake before taking out, it's fine...

Lil-me and Rach - I second what Toots said...

Soup devoured some crocheting done. Some TV watched. I'm now off to load the DW and wash the non-DW pots and then go to my bed I think.

    Have a good night ladies.
