Misleading Orange

Orange website says "£x cheap" per month internet access for ANY pay monthly mobile user. Not true. I have an old 'equal to Virgin' monthly tariff, but was told that this doesn't count.....so what happened to 'any'??
Also I try to find out what the best and cheapest broadband is available to me and am always bombarded in incomprehensible terms from deepest Delhi usually involving changing my home phone to Orange (which they did to my son without his permission!)
Finally, as I renegotiated a lower monthly cost for broadband last year, they seem to have treated this as the beginning of a new contract, which is a pain as I'd like to move to O2 as I do have a monthly mobile contract with them.
