I bought a Hotpoint EG1000 from www.appliancesonline.co.uk recently.
My old gas range cooker had come to the end of its life and I spent quite a few weekends going to Comet, Currys etc looking at the range cookers, fiddling with the knobs etc, and then took my husband along (who is a gas engineer) to see what he thought of the quality. He was impressed with the quality for the price.
I am very happy with it and to be honest I think it is very similar to the Smeg ranges which are over double the price. It is very easy to clean and looks very smart. The only thing I am worried about now is how much extra its going to cost in electricity as it is dual fuel and I was using all gas with gas bottles before.
You should go and have a look.

In terms of quality the Rangemasters are hard to beat, they also have a factory shop at their site in Leamington Spa where they do decent discounts (a very well kept secret!)
