Range type cookers

Think I would like a range type cooker (we`ve had the seperate oven and hob) our big oven on our double oven is broken so need to get a replacement also need a new kitchen, so was thinking of going for something different.
I`ve been looking at the range type cookers and there are loads, I would like gas hob, (been used to electric oven but not fussy) but the main oven has to be large (some look really small).
Any suggestions from anyone who has one as to which manufacturers are worth looking at.
Thanks

I dont know much about them, but ours is a gas hob, electric oven. Has 2 x ovens (1 fan, 1 not), a grill, and somewhere to store your trays. Its a NewWorld one. HTH.0

Take a look at the Aga 6:4 - you get electric ovens x 4 inc ceramic grill, and either LPG, mains gas or electric ceramic hob. and they have the classic aga look to them.0 -
I have the Classic 90 Rangemaster by Aga. Large gas oven, tall electric fan oven and five gas burners and low level grill.
Excellent cooker, six years old but looks like brand new and easy to clean. Almost all the parts go in the dishwasher.
I bought the matching hood and extractor too with integral lights.0 -

Second hand on Ebay, like this, it won't be there long:

90cm wide single oven gas burners in stainless, buy it now £100.0 -
Try buying second hand.
I see a lot of `reconditioned` ranges advertised, or simply good working ones from folks who want an electric cooker, many complete with the fixing to run radiators etc.
My old range dates from the thirties, and I got it from the uncle of an old woman I used to milk cows for here
It`s a Doric, used to be made in Scotland at Bonnybridge but haven`t, afaIk, been made for many years now.
It is capable of running radiators (but doesnt, this house isn`t geared up for them and it`d cost a fortune to do so) and has one large oven at the side of the fire door, plus of course the hob top and a shelf rack above it which is great for drying smalls
and warming coffee pots, pans etc.
It`s solid fuel. That used to be fairly economic but lately the cost of a bag of coal in my area has doubled.
So maybe you should look at multi fuel? 0
