New comp,need help setting up.

Just got my hands on a stonking 4week old computer.
Just need to know how i go about setting up my internet connection the same as on my old system and how do i get all my info off the old h/d to one of the new ones,like my firefox bookmarks.pictures,vid's(yes,yes, them kind of vids,ya know the ones:-) )
AMD 4800+ Dual core,
A8n SLI premium board,
2G corsair
4X 200GB sata drives,
Tsunami dream black case,
hiper type 'R' psu 580w
2X dvd 16X
7800gtx g/card.
17" veiwsonic digi tft.(16ms,not bad)
Logitech laser mouse.
Computer Table,
2.1 Speakers + sub
XP64
All for £900.
Think thats it for now.

    To move the data across you have a few options
    easy - Write it to CD's on old machine to read on new machine
    easy - Use a USB memory stick for similar process as above - chunk by chunk
    harder - network the 2 PC's together and copy the data
    harder - if possible, take the disk out the old PC and put it in the new PC as a 3rd disk and copy the data (or just leave it in there if you prefer)

    It depends on the amount of data you have but if it's not too much I'd go for writing to CD.

    Internet connection: However you set it up for the old PC - do the same thing on the new one :)

  • Its wanadoo 2meg broadband guys,I have about 60 vidoes and about 255 music albums+ a ton of motorbike pics(I am a tl1000s 'v'-twin fanatic)I own 3 of them,hopefully selling 2 of them soon.

    How can i tell if my new mobo will run my old h/d if i can just stretch link from old com h/d to new comp's mobo. I know the new one can run sata's but dont have any idea if it has a plug for this old h/d off my old comp.

    Very funny,
    I totally forgot about that thread.
    The other computer(off my mate) ended up being slower prossesor than mine,and same size h/drive so didnt have it in the end.

    EDIT, Just found xp64 driver update,good old google.
