I have a Vauxhall Corsa Automatic (well it's an EasyTronic gearbox) that's a 1.2
Have never driven a manual so no idea how they compare, but am on my 4th one now, I find them comfortable and smooth to drive and they suit me fine.
I was lucky the first time I went to look at one that my local dealer had an auto. so I was able to test drive it.0 -
Hiya, I just picked up my Kia Carens auto petrol 4 weeks ago. I used to drive the Toyota Yaris Verso with jeep opening back door which was great but they stopped making them, sigh. Anyhow the Kia is a 7 seater, we only use 5 but needed the extra space for the wheelchair to stay in the car. It's a lovely drive, with good wide opening doors front and back so making entry easier. The seats are a good height meaning I don't have to struggle to get in and out, there's a front arm rest which is very handy. The seats are very comfortable and the dials for heating etc are very easy and fluid to move so great for my bad wrists/hands. All in all I would recommend the Carens, the deposit was pricey but then I tried so many cars and this one was the only one who's boot I was able to open so I went for it and I'm so glad I did.0

I was going to make a thread on this and here it is! I love the search facility.
Now a question, I have really problems driving because of the seat height and the gear changes mean that my back and neck start hurting. I'm thinking of changing to an auto, but they only seem to come in huge engine sizes. Is there a decent auto around that is about a 1.2?
TIA x
EDIT Just had a look at Honda site and 1.2 seems to only be available as manual. Sorry. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I drive a Renault Grand Modus automatic. There is lots of space in the back and it is nice and high for getting in and out of. We have had it since May when there was no deposit required. I dont know if that offer is still on.
My only complaints which aren't major but you may need to keep in mind are that the music system has a tinny sound unless you play it loud which I dont like. The other is that when people are in back they have trouble doing their seat belts up as the part you clip them into has no play and is almost buried into seat.0
