Hasn't anyone heard of infrared heating?
Used for years in industry but now beautifully packaged in slim panels that only need a plug on the end to give you excellent heating. They work on rays just like the sun and warm the fabric of the room - walls, floors, you etc. but not the air as all other heaters do. The air is then heated by everything else in the room that has absorbed the heat first. Ideal for hard to heat houses which have solid walls, single glazing etc. Get some more information from the internet - you will be amazed at what is available. There are a number of different companies now entering the UK market. Not all electric heating is the same!0 -

All electrical heating(except heat pumps) are the same in they give out exactly the same amount of heat for the same cost.
You are quite correct that the manner of delivery of that heat varies - but a, say, 1.2kW infrared heater gives out no more heat than any other 1.2kW electrical heater.
Infrared heaters simply 'direct' heat in a 'beam' and a single person in that beam will feel the warmth. An analogy is a torch, which illuminates anything in its beam, but doesn't produce much light on the other side of the room.0
