Mobile Broadband in USA?

Would anyone ideas for accessing internet on my own laptop when in more rural areas of USA? ie there any short term mobile packages available? Period required is approx 3 weeks.

    No personal experience of this, but you could try taking an unlocked 3G dongle (as long as it's compatible with US bands and networks) and using a T-mobile SIM card with Sidekick (http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/plans/Prepaid-Plans.aspx). This would cost $1 per day.

    You'd be well advised to check coverage in the specific area you intend to visit before you spend any money.

    theres guys delivering a sim with 10 days credit off ebay.com - thanks a lot. Spent ages trying to find this information... i'll give it a go, for 10quid it's worth trying.
