Nokia N70

Just took delivery of a lovely new N70, I wish to play some videos on it but am having trouble. One of the files is a WMV file and when I download it to the phone it says cannot open as the file format is not recognised. The other one is a film i have also as a Windows Media Audio/Video File and again have the same problem. Will I have to convert these so that they can play on the in-built Real Player or do I have to convert them tinto a format that can be played on the phone.

Any help would much appreciated.

what formats does the manual say the phone can play?

edit: the manual says

Played formats (decoding): MP3, AAC, Real Audio, WAV, Nokia Ring Tones, AMR, AMR-WB, AMR-NB, AU, MIDI, H.263, JPEG, JPEG2000, EXIF 2.2, GIF 87/89, PNG, BMP (W-BMP), MBM, MPEG-4 and eAAC+
so no WMV
