Should I Complain? ~ Dominos not-so-loaded potato skins
Comments

To be honest I do not know why you did not phone your local store. The number is given to you when you order online in your confirmation e-mail. They would have cooked you a new batch no problem and sent them out straight away. Dominos has a customer policy akin to that of McDonalds. You wouldnt have been that disappointed when they turn up within 20-30 minutes with a new batch whilst you have munched on the ones you currently have infront of you0

I have emailed before about dominoes missing out one of my toppings, they refunded the whole order and gave me a free garlic pizza bread for my next order so even when things go t*ts up the customer service is quite good. It did take them a couple of weeks to get back to me about it though.
And to freddie, yes it is about moneysaving, not giving up everything in life that we enjoy (otherwise what is the point!), using a 25% discount voucher on it was moneysaving and people's tastes in food differs. It was the OP's choice to order takeaway like a lot of people do at the weekend, it was the unexpected result that the complaint is about.0 -

So based on your theory, we are not allowed to complain about anything that isnt moneysaving :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Local Fruit and Veg. 4 Roasting Spuds £0.75. Local Butcher Cheese (Real and smelly) £2.39, or depending on how much I like. Two rashers of smoked back, £0.80.
Wash and Scrub the Spuds and place in oven at 190C for twenty five minutes (Micorwaves do not crust the skins and should only be used by people who cannot cook). Grate the cheese and chop the bacon. Place a little lard in the frying pan and fry the bacon.
Take spuds from oven, slice the top, and pour in grated cheese and bacon. Place spuds under medium grill til cheese has melted. Add pepper to taste.
Enjoy. All for lees than £4 and no spotty moldoon at the local cheap food establishment can do that!
Oh and there was no need to do a pizza and that is money saving for you!
Well, you can't say that they're not over charging their pizzas either... How can they justify £15 for a bit of pastry some tomato sauce and couple of bits of ham and grated cheese I don't know... People just keep buying though !0 -
Sorry but i have to disagree with the point in bold...i certainly was not impressed with the customer service from Dominoes they charged my credit card twice  when i placed a phone order it only took them two months, several emails and phonecalls before they managed to refund the amount back onto the card. Now i don't buy from Dominoes for their lack of customer services.I have emailed before about dominoes missing out one of my toppings, they refunded the whole order and gave me a free garlic pizza bread for my next order so even when things go t*ts up the customer service is quite good. Not sure what the problem is to be honest?? They don't look too different from these:

or the picture on the Domino's site... I don't think you were misled in any way.
SuzeSo I just ordered mine and mister's usual Saturday night takeaway, ordered a dominos online and saw they had some new 'loaded potato skins'. I LOVE potato skins so ordered and used a 25% off code :j
Sat in anticipation, waiting for Mr Dominos delivery guy to bring my grub, once it arrived I opened my box of potato skins at super speed only to discover this pathetic attempt at 'loaded' potato skins
Do you think I have grounds to complain regardless of the fact that I used 25% off those things were £6 for 6 :eek:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Savings & Investments, Small Biz MoneySaving and House Buying, Renting & Selling boards. oh well, maybe I was just lucky... my compaint actually got followed up twice and a load of my friends pretty much lived off of them all through uni and didn't have any problems with customer service
either that or you were unlucky!0 -
So why are people using the pregnancy card as per my earlier post?
I'm sure being pregnant isn't a desease or grounds to complain to dominos (yes it has been mentioned look on page one)0 -

this thread has made me hungry... i'm gonna make some ham and cheese loaded skins for tea...... gonna put more topping on than the OP got! definately not worth £6... they even scooped out half the potato and didnt replace it mixed with the cheese!!
oh and if you have one nearby... get Papa John's pizza instead of Dominos... much nicer!!the only debt left now is on credit cards! The evil loan has gone!! :j:j0 -
d.eadna- your question has already been answered (see below)
it was quite obviously a jokeEh? What rattled your cage? the pregnancy comment was a tongue in cheek sentence, obviously completely went off your radar though
Had you read my op you would see that they are advertised as 'loaded' potato skins, where they come nowhere near to 'loaded' infact if we were to get a spectrum of 'loaded' and 'empty' I am taking a guess at the arrow for 'dominos loaded potato skins' would be nearer the empty end :rotfl:0
