Hey there - god I dream some days of curling up on the sofa and not shifting for the day - My idea of bliss lol!!
I too struggle with the dreaded housework - sorry to say but it will only get worse especially when little one get to 12 months and is loose into everything. Roll on 3 years hehe!! I used to be so house proud but as long as it is fairly tidy I have learned to live with it. If I could get rid if my lot for a week I may catch up some day!!!
Meant to say have you tried looking on netmums they are advertising some nearly new sales and I know these are really good for baby bits. I have had a few bargain eg brand new tomy baby carrier for £5!! x
    :j
    Nov 2012 - Loan £1200, CC1 £1450

Oh I am so annoyed... As I mentioned a few weeks ago we had a huuuuuge gas and electric bill in after them estimating for over a year then finally doing a metre reading and it being winter as well and I worked out we could afford to pay £75 a month back to them. Well when I phoned them they conned me into paying £100 a month.

This has been bugging me for the last few weeks and today we got confirmation of payment agreement and its at £120 a month!

Now this has peed me off even more so I decided to phone them and say no way not a hope in hell and all we can afford to pay is £70 a month and thats all we are paying but they couldnt talk to me as account is in OH name.

Now he has never in the 18months we have lived her spoken to them other than to get us connected back in sept 07 but there is no record of me at all. I said to the bloke that I was the one that made the agreement but he still wouldnt talk to me after being on hold for 20 mins trying to get through!

So now Im going to phone them back when OH is home tell them its £70 like it or lump it. I am going on maternity leave in 2 days and will be skint so its tough!

Ill keep u all updated lol

good luck with them, stand behind Oh so he doesn't wimp, either that or get him to say he authorises them to speak to you. I really hate leccy companies, i'm dreading hearing from ours we've just has the most horendous bill and owe loads and as they forget the concept of annualisation when we owe them money i'm expecting a letting asking to increase our DD by 100 squid or something.

Well OH screwed it up, spent 45 mins on the phone going round in circles and they told him a load of rubbish. I phoned up spoke to a nice girl for the whole of 5 mins and it is sorted. We are paying what I want to pay when I want to pay it :)

Power to the little people :)

    Wow

One day left at work. I can't believe it. Maternity leave has cropped up so quickly this baby is going to be here before I know it! Feeling a bit emotional, scared and just generally freaking out now lol!

Have just spent this evening batch cooking a load of lasange! Mmmm will have some for dinner tonight and will freeze the rest for next week! We have a freezer full of meals for the next few weeks and food too!

I'm trying to devise a list of bits to do on maternity leave:
    • Catch up with Z and keep in touch!
    • Catch up with K meet her new arrival little K and keep in touch
    • Make more of an effort to go over and see Mum
    • Read a few books
    • Sign up to the local library.... saves buying books :)
    • Get out and about at least every other day
    • Paint hallway
    • Sand and paint wooden gloss areas e.g skirting boards, door frames and window sills.
    • Batch cook more food
    • Stick to meal plans and try and start eating healthier although we have been doing well the last few weeks have been a struggle with work ect
    • Bake cakes
    • Watch the Jeremy Kyle show lol
    • Get last few bits for hospital bag and bump
    • Deep clean carpets and sofa/armchairs
    • Go through paperwork and file
    • Clear out dresser
    • Clean out kitchen cupboard and rearrange so have room for bumps bottles and sterilizer ect
Looking good for now... will keep adding and updating it I think though... Im so scared I am going to spend the next 3 weeks before she arrives not getting dressed and just sitting on the sofa!

Hopefully this will give me enough to do without over doing it! But who knows I could be back in a weeks time saying I have done nothing or all of it!

just remember not too do too much, just because you've finished 'work' work, doesn't mean you have to do lots of extra stuff at home.
