Phew I havent had time for an update in a while, been really busy this week at work and with other family commitments so have barely had time to get online. Have today off work though so am trying to work out a list of everything I want to do today!

I'm really annoyed with our Gas and Electric bill that came in this week - we live in a one bed 2nd floor flat - I added 2nd floor cause as long as the neighbours below have their heating on we dont need too :P - and our last gas and electric bills were £30 and £100 respectivly. Now I knew this one was the "winter" bill so I was expecting it to be a bit higher Electric was £125 - not bad I thought but Gas was £366! How the hell they have worked that out is beyond me. They have based this on an actual meter reading instead of an estimate so they have obviously been under charging us! This is all I need when I have 2 weeks till I go on maternity leave but oh well, after my initial OMG what are we going to do, im going to call them today and offer £70 a month cause to be honest thats all I can guarentee to pay at the mo considering I dont know what the next few months money is going to be like!

Right my list of things to do today:
    • FIRSTLY have a nice relaxing bath.... I am going to need it with the day I have planned.
    • Tidy Lounge
    • Do Washing up
    • Clean down kitchen
    • Sweep and mop kitchen floor
    • Hoover lounge
    • tidy bedroom
    • Hoover bedroom
    • Clean bathroom
    • sweep and mop bathroom floor
    • sweep and mop hallway floor
    • Make lunch for billy for when he pops back at 1ish
    • Get OH card and pressie for his bday
    • Buy caster sugar so I can make a cake this afternoon :)
    • Make above said cake lol
    • Phone southan electric
    • Phone HIP grant and get them to send form to GP... this is a pain in the bum getting this sorted but for a free £190 its worth it.
    • Pick up prescription from surgery
    • work out budgets for next few months - obv only rough for next 3-4 months.
    • Remember to drop Wii nunchuck into little bro - he wont forgive me if i dont!
    • Reply to HSBC on claim with bank charges proving we are in financial hardship.... maybe i should just send them that gas bill lol
God thats gunna keep me busy today.... I've got that hot water heating up and cant wait to get cracking now.... but I think I will watch the last half hour of the JK show :) Im an adict!

Oh my god... I have £3.25 till Friday :(

I always seem to miscalculate somewhere along the line but it usually puts me in minus figures so a credit - no matter how small is good.
I guess practice makes perfect. Would help if OH had stuck to his LB moment and understood what I was having to deal with but I guess that he wont get it until he gets his real LB moment! Any idea on how to spur that on? I've tried showing him spreadsheets, bills, even my tears only seem to have a short term effect. I mean this weekend he has sold his van and wants to buy a new one... ok not ideal timing but as long as he sold it for what its worth and buys another with the proceeds I'm happy. Wrong... he undersold it for a quick sale... why I will never know, it was a perfectly good van he just gets restless every now and again.... and is now looking at vans that cost more than the cash he has.... he wants to dip into our savings, that are supposed to keep us going while I am on maternity leave... and with only a week and a half before I go on leave I want to make sure there is as much in there as possible..... Am I being all hormonal and over reacting or is he in the wrong.

If that isnt enough he has taken out a tenancy on some workshops with a friend who has now disappeared off the face of the earth when it comes to paying the next months rent. So I have to find £160 this month! Great! It wouldnt be so bad if they were actually using the workshops but they havent been up there once. Im thinking of handing in the notice behind their back - they wont let me do it otherwise - I guess I'm lucky that it isnt tied in and we just have to give one months notice.

This is just all I need with 5 weeks to go before bump is here. I feel like I'm fighting this huge battle to prepare for the baby and make sure we dont sink in the next year while I'm off on maternity leave while OH is splashing the cash and not thinking about our future. We were supposed to start planning our wedding and I brought the conversation up on how we were going to budget for it tonight and all I got is "we will get round to it". I don't want to sit here for the rest of my life saying we will get round to it, I want to plan for it and make it happen, but thats another story... things carry on like this and I wont want to marry him in a years time lol

Ahhh rant over... I feel a bit better now.

    Carla
