At the moment they are offering 6 months talk3 if you take their line rental, i got a really nice guy who even gave me his direct no if there were any probs. So it works out as £9.99 (line rental) x for 1st 6 months, then £7.99 (umlimited 24/7 calls)+£9.99 (line rental)=£17.98 p/m. I think that is a good deal, also you are only locked in for 3 months for their line rental not for the year!. Hope this helps, goodluck :xmassign:

But you give up the advantages of leaving your line rental with BT! Consider this your free call package in fact costs approximately £4 a month overall for Year 1.If you dont make a lot of peak calls the 1899 Peak/ Primus Saver Free E&W call combination would probaly be cheaper, and you want be charged for caller display by Bt, where as TT charge, making your line rental higher then BT,s .Also you dont pay for something you dont use when your away.EG Holiday.

Nice try UB. Unfortunately, Gordon Brown's smoke and mirrors taxation has so many people fooled now that they rarely look beyond the smoke to see the mirror - with the crack in it.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

We make alot of peak calls, & to be honest as much as i looooove to save money i really can't be arsed to go to this provider & that just for a call that will last me a minute.
Also to be honest I have no qualms leaving BT, as when they cut of my disabled mum's service due to 'problems on the line' & I went into labour, they did'nt give a damn whether we were loyal customers or not and they made my poor loyal ex-employee dad redundant, so the sooner they go down the better!!

It 'want' affect his pension, as in his own words he said "in this day & age you would be mad to expect a decent pension for life", he made other provisions!
