It comes with a 12 month contract to stop people signing up for one month to get say free holiday insurance or overseas withdrawals, and then closing the account. Or to stop them signing up to grab a cashback offer when they have no intention of using the account.

I don't work for HSBC anymore, I don't hold any particular love of them (besides having my own account there) ... and I still think your whining is stupid.

strangley enough i got a letter from them today saing my account was closed and they had written of the overdrawn amount,so to all the "experts" who said they wouldnt do that
