Hi Queen of String and welcome to vaping.

I just received a duff Mini battery from George of OK Smokey and he replaced it immediately - with another one not quite so duff but almost  He seems to have a bad batch in - though the two are not from the same manufacturing run, I can tell by serial number and lack of.

If you have read the whole thread you may have registered that I am saying until I'm blue in the face "Newbies, do go to http://groups.ebay.co.uk/clubforum.jspa?forumID=18000022088 " ... but I wonder if people think it's got some association with eBay - it hasn't, we're just using eBay as web space.

The point is, Chrissie who heads up that group (so kind and conscientious), and others of us with some experience under our belts, keep popping in there so that no-one who needs help or a shoulder to cry on should have to wait long for attention ;) And there's loads of reading material and photos for one's edification ;)

    Good luck Queenie,

personaly, I would recommend joining this forum http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ . It has alot more unbiased info and is worldwide. I would recommend you read all the reviews before buying your e cig. there are alot of generic e cigs on the market and it could be the difference between you falling in love with vapeing or giving it up as a bad job a few days in, if you buy a bad one.
Dont expect it to be plain sailing, theres a steep learing curve to begin with. If you buy liquid to top up with (this is far cheaper) you will undoubtly at some point get a mouth full which isnt pleasant. You have to be prepared to maintain your e cig to get optimum performance from it. You have to carry a spare atomiser incase the one your using fails, which they do eventualy.
My recommendations are the mirage and the evo, both have interchangable parts and both companies have good customer service.
Good luck and stick with it, its worth it.

Queenie - if you have joined, I think you may be Member Number 400 !!!

Mike, members of the eBay e-cig group (including me) are also members of that American group - but I rely on others to keep me up with what's going on there because I find it too complicated. Also, the website is too often "down" for days, I think they are having trouble finding a cheap enough host that will take the traffic. Their latest move seems more stable but...

Have you got the impression that the eBay group is not "unbiased", Mike? I think you'll find that if anyone goes there saying "I found an e-cig that really works, and it lasts", PayPal will crash under the invasion ;)

sorry veronarona, the way i worded that sounds like i think the ebay group is biased, i didnt mean that, i was just stating that the e-cig forum isnt ,,does that make sense???? i do find it far easier to find what im looking for though because you know which forum to look in, it rather reminds me of mse forum, ebay groups just arnt for me, thats just a personal opinion.
  • I think I am just getting a flavour of how e cigs can be great but not. :-S. Received mine today Yay very excited, but it has a european charger with it, so, as my converter isnt working, I have to go to tesco to find another one :'( I could cry with frustration.

Oh no! Poor (((Queenie))) :( Every supplier I've bought from has sent an adapter with their starter kits, who did you get yours from? And what model did you buy?

I hope you've bought enough so that when one battery runs out you've got another to turn to. If you spend quite a lot of time at your PC/laptop, a USB charger is a good idea: I've just been to several sites and they're out of stock but I found this one on eBay:

http://tin yur l.com/cq2vfo (remove the 2 spaces and paste into browser, don't know why MSE thinks it's a swearword)

I've got 2 of 'em hanging off my lappy :D

I was still editing that when you replied. The link was inactive so I converted it with Tiny Url and it put exclamation marks in it ?!

Just ordered a mini e-cig kit, cartridges & virginia juice from OKsmokey on ebay after reading all the recomendations on here - I smoke around 50g of golden virginia a week and have had enough of smoking. I've been reluctant to quit as I'm doing so well in losing weight so this seems like a really good compromise.

    Fingers crossed
