ooh! I just thought of something else to add!
Regarding the advice to send in your forms via recorded delivery and photocopying them all....
Firstly, sending them recorded or special delivery is a total waste of money. If in the event Royal Mail did lose a claim, a proof of postage reciept (which is free!) is just as good to prove you sent the form in and will be readily accepted by our department. Or, go one step further....
Photocopying... yes, I am not going to try argue with this one - royal mails statistics are far worse than ours on losing stuff. Having a photocopy of the form can save a great deal of time and even if everything goes smoothly, comes in handy filling in the renweal forms next time. However, just go to your local job centre who can copy the form for you (Free!) and you can even leave it with them who can give you a date stamped recipet of the claim pack and send it on to us via internal postal system (TNT - who are far more reliable!)
Hope that helps0 -
hi everyone again thanks for all the replies...well latest update my gp visit got cancelled through the dla as they had my new renewal forms (at last)...but then on wed (i had a feeling the doc would turn up) there was a knock at the door around 3.30 and it was the doc my hubby answered explained in had been cancelled through the dla (althougth they obviously forgot to tell her) and she was fine (i was in bed and explained to hubby if she still wanted to c me she could) but she just left apologising for the visit....so i guess i will just have to wait and c now what happens....they will be getting a strong letter next wk over their incompetence....no doubt it will fall on deaf ears but too many mistakes made with them over the last month!! will post their reply on here if i get one....AGAIN many thanks to people who have replied to my post thankyou xxalways send a smile as it costs nothing..
