Received an email from argos stating the core systems are back in stock(23.15 hrs) checked within 10 mins and suprise suprise all gone.

Buying a scanner at PC World tonight and asked the assistant if he knew when more XBox 360's would be coming in and he said "I've got one here that someone hasn't collected"

I asked "Can I have it then?" and ten minutes later I had the box with my choice of 3 games. I chose PGR3, Call of Duty 2 and Perfect Dark Zero Special Edition.

I need a Premium really as I have a hi def projector, a wireless network and lots of recent compatible Xbox games. Since my wife has been giving me grief for buying it, I am considering floggn it on ebay, though if anyone is desperate for one for their kids, I may consider a private sale.

I've been searching for a fortnight and also preordered a Premium from a couple of places but have been let down, so I just couldn't believe it when he said he had one in stock!

I believe boots.com had some in at about 530am today - all gone of course now. Still 7 more online shopping days til Christmas - unless we did completely destroy argos' web server!!

Still no Stock at Argos but there was word that there will be some coming in tonight or tomorrow.

I wouldnt rely on Argos - the stores most likely to have any are going to be GAME or GAMEstation or the like. Specialists in the field.

I was advised by a lady at Argos a couple of days ago that they were expecting a large batch load within 3-5 days so that sounds about right, eyes peeled!
