I heared that one of the large DSG warehouses was badly damaged in the explosion at the oil refinery. This may be having a knock on effect. Their IT infrastructure is a bit scrambled apparently. I don't think stock is too affected though.

did you buy 2 then? I reckon after quidco and points etc...its somewhere in the region of £85, so might try flogging it, although OH has his eye on it. Trouble is he had the exact same one and lost it, so it feels rubbish for him to spend more money getting the same thing again...so maybe i should flog it!

also, the archos is in stock in stores...potentially you could buy one instore then take back the brand new one when it arrives...and get a refund. that way you get to use it before christmas or give it at christmas...just a thought...haven't done it myself (yet)

Would anyone owning these products please reply. I am interesting in buying but have read conflicting reviews on their performance.
what do you use them for ? are they used regularly ?

At present we are without a vcr recorder at home but thought this may be useful to use when we are away in the caravan. For watching recordings on 17" lcd tv or playing music and storing photos.

Looked at av 400 on boots site but it doesnt appear to have the docking pod included in the equipment supplied. Has anyone ordered this model from boots. and have they got te equipment supplied wrong.

I think what was meant is you return the one to the Currys branch at the full price when your one from the website arrives. That way you get refunded the price paid in store, not the discounted price.

I only ordered the one sadly. By the time I realised there was some prifit to be made the triple points thing was over.

Archos 700 60gb in argos at £299 with spare battery , redemption with a form after purchase. I`m going to buy one and send the smaller one i got from Boots back. That was £239 but only 20 gb.

The 700 only seems to be a 40GB machine at Argos? Good price though especially with the spare battery.
