Hi,
just opened my restaurant and am now trying to install broadband.
At the moment i have just one phone line which deals with the telephone, card machine and the till. the problem is that the connection to the card machine and till are disrupted when people use the phone.
I now want to put broadband in the restaurant so i can use the web whilst i am at work.
I am looking for advice as to the best way to proceed; ie would i be best to get a completely new phone line (and number?) for the card machine and till, and run the phone & broadband off the existing one -
or would i be better to run the broadband and till and card machine off one and the phone off another?
If i were to install a new line - do i have to go through BT to do this or can anybody do it?
I know that lots of people do much better deals for calls and broadband than BT but would i be stuck with a contract with BT if i use them to put in a new line?
Thanks
J
