i opened and Icesave ISA 2weeks before it went under and transfered the required 1k from my nominated account and was told that my log in details would be sent at a later date but never recieved my details so after ringing them and them telling me they've emailed me them i still havnt recieved them, i rang them 4times asking why havnt i recieved them yet and every time they told me they sent them, i know think they were just saying that so they could keep my money. Now i know i need my log in details to reclaim my money but not sure what to do?

This is unique ,not under compensation legislation, nothing is written down about this ,they can make their own rules up as they go along, and they have decided not to pay interest.
Of course, the fact that they say that no interest will be paid in the FSCS's own FAQ's carries no weight since it clearly isn't 'written down,' and you'll no doubt claim it was put in there anyway at the last minute just to personally annoy you.
You either knew about (this aspect of) the FSCS scheme long before any signs of problems with IceSave, or you didn't.
If you did, you'd know that you wouldn't get any interest so stop complaining, if you didn't then you have no cause for complaint anyway because you didn't read the T&C's.
Which is it?

Why are those on fixed rates terms getting interest ,that is not in the FSCS Q&As?
They either pay every-one interest or no -one.To be happy you need to make someone happy.0 -
Looks like all my family have now got theirs (but all last night or early hours of today), they are all much more recent account holders than me. My esavings account has been open since 2006 and my ISA only about 6 or so months.
I was trying to ask if anyone had received emails today during business hours as I wonder if they are doing batch jobs evening/overnight. The question seemed to get lost in the weeds but I am loathed to start another thread as I did start a thread below about anyone NOT getting emails.
I still don't have my email. I've had an account with IceSave for 2 years. Don't worry I am sure they will be with us soon.0 -

I received my first email from the FSCS this morning, but it was in my SPAM/JUNKMAIL. I would advise everyone to look in their SPAM/JUNKMAIL boxes. Good luck.0 -

Rather than everyone posting on whether they have...
A) Got their emailNot got their email
C) Got it but it was in junk folder.
perhaps it would be better if they all started an indidual thread each, that way I could personally follow everone's progress X 300,000.0 -

They either pay every-one interest or no -one.
"Interest owed to the depositor as at the date the bank is declared "in default" by FSCS will be paid as part of the compensation amount. Notice accounts will be paid as if notice had been served on the day the account was frozen and payment will be made, including interest, at the end of the notice period. Fixed term accounts will be paid at the maturity date with the interest that would have been paid by the bank at maturity date."0 -
I wish people would stop going about their surname initial or account number.
There is no logic in the email process, it's a random process!
It's quite clear on the FAQs in the FSCS site:
33. In what order will the emails be batched?
There is no fixed order in which the invitation emails will be sent out. We expect to offer compensation to the vast majority of Icesave customers in November.
You only need to worry if you haven't got it by friday.Being brave is going after your dreams head on0 -

Ah - the latter then - you haven't read the FSCS rules.
http://www.fscs.org.uk/consumer/FAQs/Deposit_claims_FAQs/8. Will you compensate me for any interest I have earned on my account?
