IMPORTANT! FSCS Icesave payouts to start in November...

Thanks iamsam for the e-mail. I'm still not sure what do do with my fixed term deposits that mature in Feb. The way I read it, people with fixed term deposits are throwing away October's and possibly November's interest by making an electronic claim. By sending a postal claim it would appear that interest would accrue from October 10th. We need some further clarification!
Clarification can be found here:-

"16. If I choose to keep my fixed rate savings account until maturity, what will happen?
We will process your claim through the manual paper-based process so far as possible within 6 weeks of receipt of a completed application form. Once this process is complete, you will receive payment following the maturity date of the account. You should also be aware that if you hold a fixed rate savings account that pays interest on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis, and you decide to hold that account until maturity, you will not be paid any interest prior to maturity. Can understand how you feel "Briskly", my money was tied up for three years. I just want it back now the extra bit of interest is not worth the heartache. Going to put it somewhere safe i.e Abbey, Nat West, Tesco or Matress !0

I should have thought the order was more likely based on account number than alpha. Mine's two numeric characters, one alpha, seven numeric, three alpha.
The first numeric characters are 57 and I've had no email. What are the first two characters of those who've received emails?0 -
alpha alpha alpha numeric alpha numeric & then some others
19:38.
I doubt we will get to the bottom of this (? )0 -

Maybe it has to do with who is owed what by which scheme
"The full payment will be arranged by the FSCS, although HM Treasury (HMT) will in the first instance fund amounts to which depositors are entitled from the DIGF and, if applicable, amounts above the current FSCS limit of £50,000. "
Both my husband and myself are due funds from DIGF, but have not received an email yet!
