MAPLIN ELECTRONICS are doing this unit for £20 code L75AY till Dec 24th,check it out on https://www.maplin.co.uk they are excellent as 1/ the device goes 'in line' with the aerial lead, therefore negligble signal radiation outside vehicle. 2/ you can switch between 2 preset crystal controlled LOCKED radio channels...cheaper devices are not on a fixed channel so able to drift off frequency, also they can radiate signals up to 100 yards. At present in the uk it is still illegal to use any transmitting device on fm band, but with this device a dti officer would have to be in your car boot to pick up any signal from it !never put off buying a bargain today,it may be gone tomorrow0

lol, if you're going to do that might as well get an MP3 CD head unit with SD-card, USB and line-in (ipod connector), yours for about £60-70 on ebay
'Twould be my suggestion, in fact I've looked at one meself. If they did one with bluetooth and/or DAB receiver built-in I'd have bought one by now.0 -

Be careful which one that is. There is the one which works with an FM signal, which I think is the one at £99. I was quoted £150 including installation by Halfords for the Dension unit which plugs into the CD changer input on the back of my Ford Focus stereo unit. Incidentally, £150 including installation is not a bad price, the input is line level (so the sound quality should be good) and the CD changer buttons map to the first 5 playlists on my Ipod. I get mine installed on Friday by Sextons in Bristol who are price matching Halfords (who couldn't do it until January). Sextons usual price is £167.
There are some extremely nice (and expensive!) head units by Alpine that allow you to browse the Ipod by album, artist, track, etc, but that looked like it would cost over £300. Since mine is a Xmas present from Mum and Dad, that was a little over budget.
There are cheaper units by a company called Connects2, but they only work as well as the Dension units with 4Gen or above Ipods (the ones that had the controls built into the scroll wheel).
Hope this helps.
