Buy yourself a glass coldframe and put it under the fence, ready for the spring veg.
Then again maybe not, as you never know what you may get from the blood later.0 -
Why not line the top of your wall with that nasty looking needle strip they use to stop pigeons roosting on the ledges of buildings and railway stations? Evil looking stuff with like 4" high steel spikes. Nothing to stop you using this if you say you have been having problems with someone's homing pigeons on your wall.
Not your fault if some stupid d-head from over the back decides that self-crucifixion is better than the beating his dealer was about to dispense...0 -
I'm pretty sure that you can’t use barbed wire, broken glass, mains electricity or anything else that may harm someone who is exercising his right to make your life hell.
What these scum need is a short, sharp dose of good old fashioned community service followed by a vigorous regime of counselling. That should sort the problem out.Loretta0 -
I second the roosting spikes. We have some do stop the pigeons roosting and they are evil. They and either be screwed in or stuck on with some adhesive such as the stuff you use with a silicon gun sorry husband is sleeping or I would ask him the technical name. the actual mounting strip is around an inch wideMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

Roosting spikes can get you in trouble if they are used in places where there are protected birds. However there are no such issues with prikka strip as it's for cats and intruders.
Anyway prickly hedges definitely do work. (OK that on 2 sides and a railway line at the end of the garden.)I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Mum had pyracanthea in her garden... great indeed for protection, however you have to live with them too. They are horrible to look after (make sure you wear really thick gloves). When we were kids we had a few nightmares with balls going into them and getting ruined, scraping yourself when messing around too near, etc...0
