PC World Mobile Broadband with Free Laptop??

Hi guys, I know this has probably been discussed before but I’ve tried doing a search on the main site and the forums and nothing has come up.
I want to get the internet at my house, but I don’t have a landline as I don’t really need one as I get all the calls I need from my mobile contract for £20 per month. I also don’t currently have a laptop or computer.
I’ve seen the PC World free laptop with mobile broadband for varying prices and on the surface it looks pretty good. But I know that things are usually too good to be true so I was wondering if any of you moneysavers knew of any drawbacks to this deal, or knew of any problems that have occurred with it?
I also like the idea of mobile broadband as I may be moving soon into a shared house so it would mean I could take it there without too much fuss.
Thanks in advance for your help.

It's a rip-off basically. Look at the price of it over the 2 or 3 yr contract. Look at the price of the laptop seperately. It's probably a very expensive way of paying off a cheap laptop.
I would suggest finding a laptop you like, and buying it. And go to 3 (the network) via the quidco site as they have some good deals at the mo, make sure you get a package with enough data included. Or, if you've already got a mobile, you may have data (same as saying mobile broadband) included. If your phone is up to it you could use it as a bluetooth modem...0 -
the other thing to check is strength of signal, 3 for example can be hit and miss , I have a pay as you go and it depend on where you are . the way to check is get a mobile of the same net work and see the signal strengh0

Ok cheers for you're replies. It seems that the deal is only on a massive 24 month contract and I'm not sure that I want to commit to that long, especially as computers are only getting cheaper and cheaper. I think I just need to bide my time and perhaps save up and by a laptop maybe..0
