Help with camera memory cards please.

    Reduce the quality and you won't need as big a card. I have a 10meg camera, but set it to about 2 or 3 meg which is more than enough for excellent A4 prints. At this level my old 256meg card gets over 200 pictures.

    I'm surprised. I know you would get a lot fewer for RAW. Is this the 450D you've got? A search throws up claims of 16-19MB per RAW image which would come out at 125 images on a 2GB card. Another claims to get 228 RAW images on a 4GB card which would correspond with the previous figure.

    But I haven't got the camera and you have so I won't argue!

    I would always shoot in highest quality to give more options for editing afterwards, after all, memory cards are not expensive now.

    pLus if you do find the memory card getting full you can transfer the pictures to the pc
  • those play.com generic ones are good value and reliable too.
