Help with camera memory cards please.

Reduce the quality and you won't need as big a card. I have a 10meg camera, but set it to about 2 or 3 meg which is more than enough for excellent A4 prints. At this level my old 256meg card gets over 200 pictures.0

I'm surprised. I know you would get a lot fewer for RAW. Is this the 450D you've got? A search throws up claims of 16-19MB per RAW image which would come out at 125 images on a 2GB card. Another claims to get 228 RAW images on a 4GB card which would correspond with the previous figure.
But I haven't got the camera and you have so I won't argue!Charlie0 -

I would always shoot in highest quality to give more options for editing afterwards, after all, memory cards are not expensive now.Charlie0 -
