HELP! Need Euros for trip tomorrow!!

I need to change about £60 into Euros for spending money for a school trip which leaves tomorrow (left it late I know, long story).
I've never changed currency before, I know nothing as Manuel would say, rather appropriately! What do I need to know about changing pounds to euros and where should I go to get the currency?
Advice desperately needed!

Go to either travel agents, post office or Marks & Spencers tell them how much you want to change for Euros and they'll tell you the amount you will receive according to the exchange rate. Rates vary so ring around or check net (if you have the time) for best rates. Can't see you having a problem obtaining Euros at all.0

Go to the post office hand over your pounds at the bureau and they give ya euros back simple really .

Due to the time scale your options are rather limited.Post Office,M&S,travel agent, would probably be the easiest.Rates today are approx 1.21 Euros/£,which means 80p/Euro.If you are flying,go to Travelex web site and order your currency for collection at the airport.DO NOT go to a Bureau de Change at the airport to change your money there and then,as this usually gives you a poorer rate.Have a good trip.0

Oops,sorry,Tra77 and phatbear are obviously quicker on the keys than I am(not difficult)0

I had a look online but they all say that actual rates (over the counter) may differ. Obviously I don't have much time to shop around, so I guess Post Office or M&S look favourite?2021 Targets

Yes,both good,it just depends which is easiest for you.0

IMHO for £60 worth, the variation in exchange rate will make such a small difference as to not warrant spending a lot of time hunting around for the absolute best rate.0

Dont wana sound rude but for the sake of £60 a few cents here and there arent gona make that much of a difference, you'd probably waste more in time and fuel/shoe leather looking round than just going out and getting it from your local supplier, ie post office etc
all the best

Well I've got a local Post Office which I think does currency, but I need to go into town anyway and the main PO and M&S are pretty close to each other. Should I expect to pay commission or is there anything else I need to know?2021 Targets
