I blame the scapegoats

BankersAhem, who gave AAA ratings to worthless CDOs?
Aahh, corporate credit rating agencies rather than personal ones. Gotcha.
I was thinking more at the micro level, people who should have never had the loans in the first place were given them by the bank. I don't think the CDO's themselves were transparent enough to rate after they had been packaged. The flaw, in my eyes, originated at the taking on of unsuitable debt by the consumer and the banks that allowed it to happen.0 -

The mediaYou could have a whip round and get me a new build flat in Lancashire somewhere. 20 or 30p each should do it.
Is that the cost of the flat or the contribution? :rotfl:I am a Mortgage Consultant and don't like to be told what I can and can't put in a signature so long as it's legal and truthful.0 -
Do I have to give it back if I reveal that it's the title of a book?
well, there is a chance, so you should probably set up a complex web like system of insurance type derivates to protect your position.
personally i blame no-one.
i'd rather live in a capitalist system which inevitably comes with stuff like this happening, than live in a bleedin' gulag, thanks very much. i'll take the good times and the bad, rather than have the whole lot bad.0 -
PoliticiansWell, you can only appreciate the good when you have lived through the sh*t cant you. Some of the youngsters on here have had it too easy.0

What about interest and lending on credit - the fundamentals of the banking system?
Why are they not on the list?
The fundamentals of the banking system? = BANKRUPTCY.
This is built into the fractional reserve banking system.

This is about the 100 millionth time I have seen a link to that crank video.
Knock it off guys!
As for blame. I ticked most of the above in the list. The bankers come off lightly I suspect as the poll did not have rankings.Politics is not the art of the possible. It consists of choosing between the disastrous and the unpalatable. J. K. Galbraith0 -

The truth is the truth. You CHOOSE to blinker yourself, that's up to you. When the cashless society is brought in do not ask "Why did we let this happen?"
"100 millionth" is that fractionally speaking?main stream media is a propaganda machine for the establishment.0 -

3-and-a-half hours on how we are all puppets of the Rothschilds. Heaven help us.
The thing I've always wondered about that sort of Freemason/Jewish Conspiracy/Rothschilds/P2 lodge conspiracy is even if it is true, !!!!!! are you going to do about it?
You've got a bunch of people who are organised enough to create an entire system of money and government that you can't even see let alone know how to attack. What am I supposed to do? I'm barely organised enough to get The Boy off to nursery in matching socks. I only manage to get myself in matching socks by ensuring that all my socks are identical.Sir_Humphrey wrote: »As for blame. I ticked most of the above in the list. I'm pretty surprised they're (we're) not walking this thing. People love a scapegoat and they hate bankers.
I'm a little upset to find myself less popular than journalists!0
