Unlocking Vodaphone PAYG

I want to buy my husband a new phone for xmas. Hes seen a nokia on vodaphone payg he likes, but wants to keep his virgin sim.

Is it possible to unlock it straight away without using the vodaphone sim and is it straighforward !??

yep, look at the stick thread at the top of the mobile forum and peeps there will tell you what to do

Once you have the phone, post the IMEI number, Nokia model number and the fact that it is Vodaphone on the end of the unlocking thread here and one of the guys will give you the code to use to unlock.

just beware there are some nokia phones which cant be unlocked they are mention on the first message in the above link

I made the mistake of ordering a 6630, with out reading it on the principle its NOKIA it'll unlock bet there is no free code for this phone , so it went back!!
