NTL Freedom Dialup Problems

Hi friends,
I am on NTL freeedom dialup (yes still on dial up) and phonecalls on my BT line for more than a year. And i was quite happy with it as they aregiving me £15 of free telephone calls in that included in total package of £15 permonth.
But since last week, I am unable to connect to the net. Everytime I try to connect it says the line is busy. I tried contacting NTL customer servece and they suggested to re install the NTL dialler again which I did BUT same problem... line busy!!!!
HAS ANYBODY HAD ANY SIMILAR PROBLEMS??
For the time being I am using the internet through NTL only but not through their dialler but after configuring my own connection using the dialup number 08005190100 which I found on one of the forums. It does work for me but it does not open all the sites like Yahoo login, or internet banking etc etc
ANY ADVICE WOULD BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED!!!!

I've never used the NTL Freedom dialer as I prefer to set the connection up myself. I've always used the number you have or 08089909877 to dial up. I had to re-install Windows XP a few weeks ago and had the same type of problems when I used the 08005190100 number. Now I use 08089909877 all the time and have no problems. If your phone number is withheld by default you may need to add 1470 to the begining of the number so that NTL can recognise your phone number.
Here's another forum with some information
There's also the 1263 prefix used to route the calls via NTL instead of BT.
More on 1263 and 1470
If only there was a broadband package that offered such excellent value for money on internet and phone calls combined. Unlimited internet + £15 of calls for £15 per month is great even if it is only dial-up.Steve0 -
Funnily enough I was about to post if anyone was having problems with NTL as I am with Tesco bb which is routed through NTL and am getting emails bounced back.
I got an email from Yahoo asking me to active my account again as emails have been undeliverable. It might just be group emails that are being bounced as certainly some emails are getting through, obviously as Yahoo emailed me!

Thanks. But when I try to call the number 08089909877, from my landline, I get the same busy tone and message that the line is busy. But today I tried this number from the landline at work, and I didnt get the busy tone and did get the usual creaking noise...
Is it my BT line which is having the problem. But I can make calls from my landline as normal.
I have tried prefixing with 1470 and 1263 as well but to no avail.
Any more suggestions
