To be fair, the ISA transfer service was smooth as for me, a first for the Halifax. Still I now use A&L as a benchmark, so it makes everyone else seem wonderful!0

I OPed a mega rant about the Halifax Kids regular saver earlier in the year. Sad to see things aren't improving.
Just had a thought that Martin should hold mebbe an annual Oscars award ceremony for the Good & Bad financial institutions each year. My votes for 2005:
Good:
smile - service & quality on-line current account
FD - service & funding stoozing pot
Cahoot - savings interest rates
MBNA - funding stoozing pot

Pants
A&L - service & cynical reduction in children's account interest rates
Halifax - service
RBS - crap credit card limit
