Is it possible with any other mobiles (particularly i850) than the n96?
From what I can gathere that n96 version only really works over Wifi so would need to be able to record stuff for watching when mobile too.
Orb video over 3 was totally unwatcheable so I don't weant to end up with similar, and YBH I'm not totally convinced re N96 either!

The iPlayer is available on the N96 and a few other S60 Nokia's as you can download the installation file from the internet. It can only be used over wifi since it trasmits a VAST amount of data, and the networks don't want to be dealing with that.0

Would it run on a 6120c if I downloaded files to PC and moved them accross:rolleyes: if so where can I find it?
Thanks!0 -
It can't just be used on Wifi - I have mine in front of me happily streaming over 3g on the 3 network and the quality is excellent. You can only download over Wifi though.

yes, but not a good idea as the data charges would be quite big as 6120c is not wifi!
Damn that little phone is very nice, only if it had wifi it would be perfect!0 -

Ah ha! Something to try when I'm back from holibibs:beer:
I was actually thinking of downloading the videos as well as the program itself to PC and then running them (incurring no data charges) though I do have "unlimited internet" with 3:rolleyes:0 -

I have just tried this on an LG Viewty, it says it is WMV compatible on numerous sites so i thought i would try an iplayer video on it, but it crashed my phone everytime i tried to open the videos section, not quite sure why
but its worth a try, much cheaper than streaming if it works for you. 0 -

you can watch iplayer on iphone
But only via wifi and I don't think you can download.
This afternoon I noticed that you can go to the iplayer site on a PC and select an option to download for media players. You have to play the downloaded file in Media Player to force it to pick up the licence file, but then you can transfer it to other devices (so long as the play WMV with DRM).
Tried it on a couple of devices and it works well.LBM : March 2008
