T-Mobile vent
Options
This is a bit of a grumble with T-mobile, so please bear with me. OH decided he wanted the W800i when his contract came up for re-newal. He didn't do his research (unfortuantely) and forged ahead like a bull in a china shop. When he got the new phone he realised that it had a good knack for crashing and didn't like to pair up with his bluetooth headset that he uses when driving.
I suggested he call them back and return it and cancel the whole thing.
No...according to T-Mobile its the fault of his sim card so they will send out another. (Cue loud groans)
Saturday morning got up to find a message on OH's mobile telling us essentially that his sim card has been deactivated. Now, at this point we were away from home visiting family and so were left without a working phone, with over 150 miles yet to drive before getting home.
Managed to pop into a T-Mobile shop to have a grumble. They very kindly (as all this wasn't their fault) allowed him to talk to T-Mobile customer services, who simply said sorry you should have been told about the sim card being de-activated, and eventually forwarded his calls to my mobile number (pay as you go with practically no credit...and a terrible battery life). Again was told that it was the sim card and to wait for that and all the problems would be fixed
yeah right
When we did get home we found 2 free T-Mobile sim cards on our doormat....what luck we thought. We'll pop one of those in the phone and at least be able to check that it is the sim card causing the problem. In went a free t-mobile PAYG sim and then he dialed 150 (feeling smug) to try to get through to customer services. Usual rubbish chat...press 3 for customer services he was told....so he did...nothing happened. Yup you guessed the phone had crashed again....and was in a loop on the T-mobile customer service line.
OH had told me that he was due to get a phone call at 10am this morning (agreed over the phone at the t-mobile shop at the weekend)....no phone call...no nothing.
Sigh
Suggestions folks?
P.S. He notified T-Mobile of problems within 1-2 days of receiving the phone.
