UPDATE: On Thursday 6 Nov. at 9pm, Travelodge is releasing rooms at £9 rooms. However this doesn't automatically mean rooms now at £19 will be £9, or even still available at £19. So if you find a room you need rather than want at a decent price; its worth considering booking it at £19 to be sure.

What's the deal?
Budget hotel chain Travelodge has a Winter sale on, offering two million 'saver rooms' in all its UK hotels at £19 per night, for stays booked 21 days in advance throughout December '08 and January '09. It started this a couple of weeks ago, and has launched more rooms this week.
Even popular places such as London, Cardiff, Manchester and the coast have good availability, so if you fancy a quick break away in the UK, it's certainly worth a gander.
What are Travelodge rooms like?
They're clean, functional and do the job. This is about the thirteenth travelodge deal that MoneySavers have jammed in and there's usually extremely good feedback from those who've taken part, though there are some concerns it has a deliberate 'overbooking' policy, but most MoneySavers don't report problems.
Doesn't it always have £19 rooms available?
Yes, you can generally find a £19 room somewhere, just not usually where you want to stay.
Travelodge tends to release the £19 rooms in tranches and then leave them there until it sells out. The point of highlighting this sale is it's just released a massive batch with widespread availability.
What you need to do
£19 rooms are on sale right now so use Travelodge's room search to find a hotel and date available. Be aware, these rooms must be paid for in advance, are non-refundable and you must book at least 21 days before arrival.
If you're lucky enough to nab a room in a popular location (i.e. cities or picturesque areas), please post the details below so other MoneySavers can benefit too.
Bag extra cashback
If you use cashback websites you can even get cashback on these; see the Top Cashback Sites guide.
Is this as cheap as it gets?
No, in the past it has offered £9 room sales but these tend to be once a year (the last time was two months ago), so this is still a dirt cheap deal. Any future Travelodge promotions or other cheap hotel chain offers will be included in the weekly email.
Bag some cheap days out to go with your bargain room
If you're thinking of taking the family away or doing some site seeing, have a look at the Pay Less For Going Out article for tips and tricks on how to slash the cost of days out, which includes cut price theme park tickets and 2for1 attractions. Plus read the constantly updated Cheap Days Out note for all the very latest MoneySaving promotions.
Also, you may find Travelodge's free 'See Britain the free way' guide useful as it lists attractions across the UK that cost nothing to visit.

Travelodge bargains can also be had on eBay. Travelodge T&C's state that rooms cannot be transferred but in all honesty ID is never checked at the Lodge itself and as long as you turn up with the 'correct' reference number and name (supplied by the seller on eBay) you'll get the bargain priced room.0
