  • hi

Just been on pigsback (to see if boots vouchers were back on actually) and I have noticed a new reward 500 points = £5 curry mad voucher.
Looked on the website and there seem to be lots of restaurants included (in my area anyway).

Shame im on a diet (well a see food one anyway!!)

P.s Thanks to all who have posted info
  • thanks for that Kerry Ann

Droopsnout, I find that to be a rather flawed argument, firstly you do not know how I spend my time when I am not reading these forums for 20 minutes a day. I spent one minute writing that response, I think even saints should get a cup of coffee and a bit of internet time ;)
But that was my point entirely. We all know that there are massive issues out there which really demand our attention much more than a 10p here and a 100 points there! My requests were:

    * that PB-ers should not be criticised when they get upset over what they regard as poor treatment of them by PB.

    * that people should be allowed to deal with the minutiae of life as well as the mega-issues.

I'm glad that you are of the same opinion, and that you can yourself take a few moments' relaxation during a busy day.

I am tolerant to a point, but if your emails to the company are anything like your posts on here they are very demanding.
I'm glad you think so. They are, I hope, honest, forthright, but always polite, with no bad language or personal abuse.

Perhaps they would not have so much trouble if Pigsback didn't recieve a 100 emails a day asking where a quiz went.
Couldn't agree more. But PB wouldn't have all those emails if their software and Customer Service were up to scratch. See ginvzt's post this morning as yet another example.

Lidlest, my only comment about your post concerned the view you expressed that people were in effect wasting their time following up errors made by PB. Since the whole point of being a member of PB is to gain either reduced prices when shopping through their site, or to accumulate free money through their offers, I think it is natural that when things go wrong, people have a moan!

And yet somehow I don't seem to remember mentioning MSE-ers or their posts but more emails that some people may send (having had some of these type of things myself in my job). I was just saying that SOME people take things too far when sending emails and don't remember that there is a person who has to answer them. I may also be advocating courtesy towards PB staff but show me when I wasn't encouraging and exemplifing the same towards fellow MSE-ers?
    I'll try to be brief.

You did not mention any MSE-er by name, but the implication of your original post was that some MSE-ers had gone overboard in their emails to PB. To be exact, you said that they had gone "apes**t at someone for not getting something for nothing."

None of us has seen any emails sent to PB, as far as I know, so I assume that you were transposing the anger expressed on the MSE forum here to people's emails to PB.

Like you, I am experienced in dealing with awkward or naive members of the public, and in matters far more important than a few pence on a web site. I know that I did not like being the target of strong language. I admired those who could make a valid point with supporting evidence, and I never defended the indefensible - something I learnt very early from my boss. (Pleased to see that Darragh seems to have the same approach!)

So reading that some of us have apparently resorted to lobbing primate poo didn't entirely endear you to me!! ;)

But, as jess_skaterdude advises, let's all chill out on this one! We're supposed to be having a Happy New Year! :)

I agree with Jess-skaterdude. Calm down everyone, let's all respect each others points of view and maybe keep them to ourselves. Anyway back to sorting out my toddlers arguements.

I have to say, just in defense of Pigsback, that I contacted them about a Boots Voucher not recieved and have had a very nice and productive back and forth with Kelly.
Try to remember there are people behind the emails you recieve, and a little bit of politeness goes a long way to getting goodwill from a company. I do understand the frustration some are recieving, and when its points from purchases that are not recieved I do feel thats bad form on the part of the company. But when its the complaining about not winning competitions for squeezy pigs or not being credited 50 points for clicking a link, or the advent calender not being updated I honestly wonder why people do not have better things to worry about.

Now I also had an email from Kelly telling me the T&C's state 14 days. I replied with an apology and had an email from Darragh! Now its 30 days later two emails to Kelly with no reply! So its luck of the draw!
