The asnwer is, of course, that we all have our own little pet foibles. I'm not sure that I can recall anyone going quite so strongly over the top in their posts on here, but if you have any evidence of this, perhaps you could quote the offending posts (preferably with a link so that the accused and jury can see the whole post concerned).
And I may be wrong, but I think this is the first time that anyone has been so worked up over something that they have used bad language - disguised or not - when describing the tone of an MSE-er's posts.
I would have thought that someone advocating courtesy towards PB staff would also encourage and exemplify the same towards fellow MSE-ers.Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. - Thomas Sowell, "Is Reality Optional?", 19930 -

Why are you not spending your time working as a volunteer for a local charity, or supporting Amnesty, or campaigning against the Iraq war, or raising money for Greenpeace, or collecting glasses for those who don't see too well?

Droopsnout, I find that to be a rather flawed argument, firstly you do not know how I spend my time when I am not reading these forums for 20 minutes a day. I spent one minute writing that response, I think even saints should get a cup of coffee and a bit of internet time
Secondly , no i am not incredibly tolerant of rudeness or small-mindedness, I do not class these as good personality traits. I wrote my opinion (of which I am entitled to have), you saw yourself in it obviously and responded with yours, now i'm telling you mine again. Thats how it goes...I am tolerant to a point, but if your emails to the company are anything like your posts on here they are very demanding. Like I said i really do think its wrong that those who bought things through pigsback and didn't get credited are having trouble recieving their points. Perhaps they would not have so much trouble if Pigsback didn't recieve a 100 emails a day asking where a quiz went.0 -

I would have thought that someone advocating courtesy towards PB staff would also encourage and exemplify the same towards fellow MSE-ers.
And yet somehow I don't seem to remember mentioning MSE-ers or their posts but more emails that some people may send (having had some of these type of things myself in my job). I was just saying that SOME people take things too far when sending emails and don't remember that there is a person who has to answer them. I may also be advocating courtesy towards PB staff but show me when I wasn't encouraging and exemplifing the same towards fellow MSE-ers?Hello Floor Make Me A Sandwich!0 -
No points again......
Rachel:
Please allow 28 working days for Figleaves PiggyPoints to be credited. Any due Points
will be issued by the middle of January.
November Tightsplease Points have already been issued to member accounts according to the
file of tracked purchases, made by members through the offer on Pigsback.com.
If you are not on this list then I'm afraid your purchase has not been tracked, so a mistake was made at some point in the ordering process.
When I emailed them before holiday she said I have to wait for 28 days (it was something like 22 days passed from Tightsplease order). And know I am getting message from her that I won't be getting my points at all!!!! It is not fair!!!!!!!!! And I was supposed to get about 270 points....
And about Figleaves - the order was on 1st of December, so please, don't write to me to wait for 28 days - this term passed 10 days ago. I'll wait till middle of January and see what happens, but I am loosing hope with this as well. It feels that they don't care too much about the customers. I haven't recieved points for my refered friends (was told that 'they must have filled they registration form wrong' - sorry, I was sitting next to them!!!!!), no points for a big order. I think I might consider ordering through other sites in the future, who value they customers more and keep they promises...
Sorry for such message early in the morning, but I feel very upset with PB!!!
