here comes another whingefest... people have such high expectations of a site that gives you something for nothing...

i wonder how many people actually browse the pigsback site and look through stuff that might interest them as opposed to coming on here and just finding the links to the points/competitions.

it is a shame that the 10 point trivia questions are now 1000 points, but i wonder if you played every day for 100 days, would you win the 1000 points? seems to me like a lot of people on these boards have been fortunate enough to win points, sometimes on more than one occasion so it looks like the odds aren't unreasonable. so really are we losing out? (that said, i have not won a single comp myself!)

then again, i've been a pretty long term user of the site, long before i discovered that you could bump up your points by answering the quizzes and having all the links here, so i guess my user profile's different to most of the people on here. once you've all flounced off in disgust at not getting 10 pointers and the site now being "a waste of time" , my chances of winning the 1000 point raffles will increase too

You are not alone in expressing this sentiment but I must argue the point that PB are giving you something for nothing. They are not. A website that sells advertising space and earns cash from direct links is dead in the water if it does not generate and maintain a high volume of traffic. We are the commodity they sell to potential advertisers and affiliates. A site that has many thousand hits a day can claim a much higher fee and attract bigger and richer partners than a site that has a couple of hundred visitors this is the basic principle of advertising whether on the net, tv, radio, billboards or wherever.

All things change and I'm not writing PB off yet things may well change again. When it is no longer worth my while visiting PB daily I will stop just as when it is not worth PB having me visit daily they will stop offering me an incentive to do so.
