Well - I did say yesterday that I would phone Pigsback - well I did - and apparently the person I needed to speak with was busy speaking to someone else so they would phone me back ( glad I didn't hold my breath as this was about 7odd hours ago).

Darragh (and Pigsback) don't seem to realise that the only reason people bought through Pigsback was because they could get free points as well from quizzes etc - this is what made it better to buy at a lower cashback rate from Pigsback rather than go through someone else. Yes Pigsback is a business - but then so is Quidco, Rpoints etc etc etc - Pigsback doesn't offer the best rates but it was a nice site - different to the norm and AFAIK has been building their UK numbers nicely.

However with the removal of the daily quizzes for points then there is no incentive to shop through Pigsback - its all very well saying the number of click throughs are supposed to increase but as the longer you are a member the fewer click throughs you get - this is not a decent strategy - i.e Darragh saying we were guaranteed a min of 6 a week - what he ACTUALLY meant was new members were guaranteed this - I only have been getting 3 click through a week myself. As you all know I visit Pigback daily but if I wanted to win competitions I would visit a competition site - which btw I have no interest in.

I have recommended god knows how many people to sign up with Pigsback (just telling them - not using the referral system) and all I can say is that I know most of them won't be back once they realise what is going on.

I have bought a fair few things through Pigsback even when I knew I could get better cashback elsewhere - in this way I felt I was paying them back for the "free" points for the quizzes.

I enjoyed Pigsback but if this is the way it is going to stay then I am afraid it will be bye bye from me pretty soon as well :(
  • How disappointing - I only just found Pigsback and they've taken all my fun away.

I haven't added much to this thread although I joined PB a couple of months ago and visit daily. Im very disapointed to hear that we've lost the daily points on quiz's. Personally i'll probably not bother to visit PB in future unless im ordering from CD WOW. Its a shame as I have ordered from several companies through PB and the daily points have worked in their favour by making me check their website. Can't help feeling that this isn't a good business move for them. Isn't it worth giving their customers 20p a day to visit the site? Not a huge sum is it?!
  • Agreed that this is a bad move by Pigsback. I'm sure they will lose many many users now and removing the free points will decrease the number of users actually buying through Pigsback, due to the fact competitor cash back sites can make the user more in return.

From Pigsbacks view, I guess they can't just give away money like they were doing, losing money, but I still think it's a bad move (I'm sure they get revenue from other companies which would fund free clicks easily).

I suppose all good things have to come to an end!

Why don't they cancel the competitions with draws and distribute the piggy points via 10point or 20point quiz question daily? It gives us an incentive to visit daily and see what else is new.

Their range of merchants are small, which is the main problem. I've recommended people to them and many have just joined, it is so disapointing that they've done this now.

Oh and the entertainment question still syas "Congratulations 10 piggy points have been credited to your account" even though they obviously aren't
  • Oh dear. I wonder have they expanded into the British market too quickly.

I have been on the site since 2003. I always use my points for CDWOW vouchers and I've had quite a few CDs since I started.

But there have been changes recently - not all good.
